Academic
I am an award-winning academic whose work sits at the intersection of voice training, character creation, and social justice. My teaching and research have been recognised with Lecturer of the Year (University of Northampton, 2021), Education Changemaker of the Year (2022), and a National Teaching Fellowship (2024).
I design inclusive pedagogical frameworks that centre the student voice—both figuratively and literally—within dynamic and responsive learning environments.
My current doctoral research explores a hybrid voice practice that integrates technical vocal training with imaginative, character-based methodologies. This practice offers actors innovative tools for approaching voice not only as a means of performance, but as a form of psychological embodiment and a strategy for well-being and safeguarding.
I welcome opportunities to collaborate through guest lectures, short courses, and institutional partnerships. Meaningful knowledge exchange and cross-disciplinary collaboration are the foundations of my academic ethos.
